Fly-Tying Forum
September 17th, 2013
6:30pm-9:00pm

Pechmann Fishing Education Center
7489 Raeford Road
Fayetteville, NC 28304

As part of the Pechmann Center's new Fly-Fishing University program, our Fly-Tying Forums will meet on the third Tuesday of each month from 6:30pm until 9:00pm. Each month, the staff will choose a category of flies to be tied such as; dry flies, wet flies, foam flies and will provide instruction on tying two different patterns from that category. These theme centered fly-tying activities are designed to provide participants with instruction beyond our beginning fly-tying course and introduce them to more advanced fly-tying techniques.

The September forum will consist of receive instruction on the Girdle Bug and Pheasant Tail Nymph. Handouts will be provided that include the materials list and tying instructions for each pattern. These instructional guides may be added to the fly-tying hand book that the students received in the basic tying course.

Participants are encouraged to use their own equipment, however, equipment and materials may be provided upon request. Please, contact Tom Carpenter at 910-868-5003 x15 or thomas.carpenter@ncwildlife.org to register.
